AUSTRALIAN GOLDEN OLIVE AWARDS

Olive Producers of North East Victoria, (OPNEV) takes great pleasure in inviting you and your olive business to participate in the 21st Australian Golden Olive Awards. The Australian Golden Olive Awards was one of the earliest shows in Australia.

OPNEV, whilst being a regional association, is keen to promote olive products Australia-wide for the mutual benefit of all industry stakeholders, whether they be large companies or the smaller family business. We believe it is important to encourage the continuing development of olive products across our continent and to provide a vehicle whereby the best in our industry are given due acknowledgement and public profile.

This prestigious competition for Extra Virgin Olive will allow participants from all over Australia to benchmark their products against the very best. A low cost show, held in high regard by the industry, the Australian Golden Olive Awards also provides Free Fatty Acid and Peroxide testing on your oil from fully accredited laboratories, with results provided to you. The tests on your oil allow you to seek accreditation from the AOA for their Australian EVOO logos, and you can also use the results to enter other shows.

Olive producers, like all others engaged in agricultural pursuits have seen varied conditions this year across our region, many have experienced a dryer than normal season which will impact on yields, but let us hope the quality results in many medals.

I encourage you to participate in this exciting competition and benchmark your products against the best in the land. I look forward to catching up in Wangaratta at the presentation dinner.

2017 RESULTS

SUBMISSION PROCESS

Having made the decision to participate and forwarding the 'Invitation to Participate' form to the Steward, number coded standardized bottles will be sent to you to fill with oil or olives. The product is sent to Wagga Wagga and their strict procedures create scores for The Australian Golden Olive Awards.

Participants need to have samples (in coded bottles provided) with your completed 'Entry Form' back to the Steward by 25th July 2019.

WHO CAN ENTER

The Australian Golden Olive Awards are open to all Australian producers. The process is simple but with strict protocols.

Olive Producers North East Victoria Members will reveive a discounted price when submitting for the awards.
